In quite a few threads I have seen a few people who seem to be "on the fence" with their religion in Mormonism and wondering what the "truth" is. I have done a few studies over the last few days, and I would like to share with everyone what I have found so far. And to see what answers I met get back....


The God of the Bible is not the god of Mormonism. I know of no way to put this any more "nicer" than that. (Now please understand, the fact that I show no respect for the religion of LDS does not mean that I don't respect any of you. I believe you are merely deceived). To make such an assertion like that, one might need some proof, right??

Well, Joseph Smith started the LDS church because he said God told him that no religion was right anymore. That everyone had changed the Bible in some form or another. And according to Smith, God gave him the true word (BoM). This is probably the first and biggest problem I have with LDS.

There are numerous verses in the Bible we can look at that sate just how precious God's words are, how true they are, how sharp they can be, etc..
The Bible is filled with so many verses about His word that I cannot print them all here (sake of time). We know that God holds His Word above all else. God promised to keep His Word for us.

Psalms 119:160 " Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever."


(This one is one of my favorites) Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever." (bold is my doing)

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away; But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." I Peter 1:23-25


The way I see it, if it was true, if not one person had kept the true Word of God, then God's Word did not endure forever as stated. Even if it were only for 5 minutes, God's Word was not kept true. Smith is calling God a liar, maybe not intentionally, but look at the verses for yourselves.

We know God cannot lie, what God says, God does. Period. So now I pose this question. We know one of these must be lying and if God cannot lie, who is left??

If Smith lied, that would make him a false prophet. False prophets do not serve the one true God. If they did they would be true prophets. It really is just that simple.......

I plan on doing more, (I have a ton of stuff) but for sake of time I must stop here....
