OK guys, this is a post that I normally would have done under “Lets Discuss It”. I personally believe this topic is nothing more than a lie generated to take away man’s accountability to a Righteous God. I’m talking about evolution. For those of you that know me, you know I am a young earth creationist thinker. In short, I believe God created this world and everything in it in 7 days, well ok, 6 days.
First off, I must pose this question. When does evolution quit becoming science and religion start playing the main role? It is EVERYWHERE, this idea of evolution. It is being taught in our public schools basically as a fact now. They say it’s still a theory, yet they teach our children that the way they tell time is a fact when in actuality it is based ON the theory. I pulled up some interesting site today researching this for my post. First lets talk about the way they determine time.
The earth has layers of rock, also known as Strata. Evolutionists tell you they know how old a fossil is by what layer of strata it is in. How do they tell how old the Strata is?? By how old the fossil is. I am not kidding about this, as ridiculous as it sounds. Here is an excerpt from a website Titled Science Against Evolution. Anyway, they say, “The use of the geologic column to establish the age of fossils is circular. If you strip away all the camouflage, evolutionists argue that dinosaur fossils are 100 million years old because they are found in rocks that were formed 100 million years ago. The rocks are known to be 100 million years old because they contain the bones of dinosaurs that died 100 million years ago.”
This is from a secular web page by the way. I get tired of hearing that the only people who oppose evolution are the religious nuts. It’s anyone willing to do a little studying to see the truth. Basically from the sites I looked at, if it agreed with what the evolution scientists said, they agreed with it. If it didn’t, they simply said it was contaminated. Does anyone agree with me that this is sounding rather odd?
What about the modern day fossils alongside prehistoric ones? Here is a paragraph from the same site. “Why don’t they find a lot of modern fossils in the same layer as dinosaurs? Sometimes they do find modern fossils in the same layer. At Dinosaur National Monument in Utah, where you can actually see dinosaur fossils still in the ground, there are fossil clams in among the dinosaur bones. Clams are modern creatures. But, since they are found with dinosaur bones, which are assumed to be prehistoric, it is assumed that the clams have existed for millions of years without changing. At the La Brea Tar Pits, in Los Angeles, they show lots of skulls of prehistoric saber-toothed cats. They have also found lots of bones from rabbits, and birds, and other modern creatures. They don’t display them prominently because nobody cares about rabbit bones. Tourists just want to see the ferocious cats. But this partial display tends to create the false impression that only prehistoric bones are found in the asphalt pits.”
Nobody cares about rabbit bones?? Are you kidding me?!?! I think it is pretty relevant pertaining to the theory of evolution, don’t you? It just seems so strange to me they don’t bring this out in the open. There is actually sooo much more, but for sake of time I am going to stop here. I may do another post with more of the things I found.
My main point being, if they want to hold on to it still being a theory and teach it to our children, fine, but teach them EVERYTHING, why hide these facts I’ve posted today? And why is it SO important NOT to teach creationism as a theory?? Is it not the same along the lines of trying to figure out the start of the world??
My next post on this matter will include facts of why Creation makes more sense than evolution.
I know this sounds pretty heated, but I just feel very strong on this particular subject. Please write and let me know how you feel, I will debate if you are willing, or I can just thank you for your comments. I am just curious to find out what others thoughts are on this matter.

As most of you already know, it is my oldest daughter’s birthday this weekend. I have been contemplating on what to write all week. It’s so hard for me to believe she is 3 years old. Time always go by so quick once kids are in the picture. I’ve decided to post what she has meant to me in my life, as she has changed my life, made me see things in a whole new light. I am going to do this in a letter to her, but I hope all of you enjoy it and as you read and listen to these songs, think about what your children have meant to you.
To My Oldest Shining Star,
I love you so much. It is very hard for me to think it has already been 3 years since you came into my world. I wish very much that time would slow down so we could have so much more time to spend with each other. You are getting to be such a big girl. In opening this letter I called you a shining star. That’s what you are to me. When I think of the stars, how beautiful they are twinkling up in the night sky, how they can make a person just stop and take in the beauty of the moment. That’s what you do to me every time we are together. I just want time to stop so we can enjoy each other for as long as possible.
I remember the day you were born, walking into the little room they rushed you in. How small and frail you looked, worried if you were going to be ok, already so in love with you. Then they placed you in my arms, you calmed down almost instantly, slightly opening your eyes for a brief moment. I understood then what being a daddy truly meant. You completely changed my world that day. The best way I know to describe it is, I was able to see the world through your eyes, through the way you looked at me.
You are so loving and sweet. I love the way you go through church saying hello to everyone, offering a hug to anyone who may need one. I love the way you perceive people also. I swear it’s like you can tell who is honest and kind, and who is just out for themselves. I hope you hang on to that. It’s a rare gift not many people have in this world, the ability to read one’s intentions. I hope you never lose that openness you have with people, only guarded when you feel odd about someone.
I absolutely love the way your eyes light up when I walk in the door. The way you always come running to give me a hug and ask me if I had a good day. It doesn’t really matter how the previous time was in that day, you greeting me like that makes my day always good!! I love the way you need daddy to kiss your boo-boo’s, they won’t heal properly unless daddy gives them his kiss.
I wish the very best for you in this world. I will always try and protect you the very best I know how. But sometimes the “hurts” will reach you anyway. Please know that when they do, daddy will always be here to kiss your “boo-boo’s”. No matter what form they may come in, I will always be here for you. There is still so much I would like to say to you, perhaps another day. Just know how blessed I feel to have a shining star like you in my world. You will always be my little girl I held in that little operating room the day you entered this world. No matter how big or grown-up you become!!

OK, here we go again. A guy claims he is back and able to do it all again here on the stream and what happens?? The world around him decides to speed up to about 900 MPH. LOL.
I just wanted to post a quick note to let you all know what was going on. This week we are having our missions conference at our church AND we are trying to get our house ready for our daughter's 3rd birthday party this Saturday. I haven't had much time to get on here the last few days, and don't really know when I can post another message until maybe this weekend, (watch for my post to my daughter on Sat.) I will sign on and cruise around to everyones sites still, probably more in the evening before I go to bed.
Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on!! I'm praying for you all!! Hope all is well with everyone. If you need me or have questions, I'll still be around answering my messages, so please write. I'll see you all soon!!

As most of you know, I love to try and be a help and encouragement to those in need. There have been those that we all know, they are free to post them right on their blog. Some are not quite so open about what they are going through, for whatever reason, and I must admit, there are a few who have surprised me with their PM’s or e-mails.
In every case, it’s occurred to me that they all feel alone. Think back to some storms you have been through in your life. Some tough times that you have dealt with. Do you remember feeling that way? You better believe I have myself.
Then there are those problems that seem so big, so complicated, we have no idea where to turn, what to do, or what the best way is out of our present situation. We often wonder why we are there, why is this happening to me? Does any of this sound familiar?? I know I personally have been down this road many times. Here are some of my favorite verses for times like I just described. They are found in Romans chapter 8. I hope those who are struggling right now find comfort in them. I hope you commit them to memory for your use whenever you may need them.
Romans (KJV)
8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
I absolutely love this verse!! Have you ever thought about the extent of this verse?? It says right here that no matter what happens, no matter the storm, the situation, God would not have allowed it unless it was for our benefit, for us to somehow come out better than we were before the storm occurred. He is referring to saved, born again believers. If you love the Lord and have been born again, you can rest assured that nothing, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, will happen to you that in some way won’t be for your good. WOW!!!
8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
8:36 “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
8:37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
8:38 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,”
8:39 “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
These verses are for those who feel they are all alone in the world right now. Have you read them? There is nothing that will ever separate us from the love of God. It doesn’t matter what you are going through, God IS there, you may count on it. He loves you and nothing will ever change that. You are never alone, God loves you and He is there if you just seek Him and Lean on Him. Nothing can change that. I find SOOOO much peace in that, I hope you do as well.
If you think about it, those passages really go hand in hand. (The entire Bible does actually)
Because God loves us so much, because nothing can, or will ever change that, if you accept Jesus as your Savior, you may not understand why or how, but you can bet EVERYTHING you have to go through down here is for your benefit. God cannot lie, here it is in His Word. I love that, don’t you??
I hope this in some way has encouraged you, has maybe helped lighten your burden. Know I am praying for you all!!

What does one do when he feels that all inspiration has left him. When he has no peace about what to post. This is where I found myself this week. Struggling to know what to say, not really feeling right about anything that came to my mind to post. For a few days I told myself it was just because I was busy. I had a few questions from people that took quite a bit of studying in the Bible to come up with the answers. But I was just kidding myself, the real reason I haven't been able to post, I believe is from the Lord.
I must say after some soul searching and praying to my Heavenly Father, I owe everyone on here an apology. I feel the Lord was telling me I had taken a wrong turn in my posts. I don't feel I was including God and His Word in my posts like I should have. You see, God is the only one who can possibly bring change to this lost and dying world. His Word is quick and powerful and sharper than ANY edged sword. This means nothing will cut right to a person's heart and soul to inspire them to make a change quicker than the Bible will.
I will still be posting in much the same way, I will just be including what God has said that has inspired me. I also have decided to close my other blog and merge it with this one. I had kind of abandoned it anyways, and when it started to pick up, I felt I didn't have time to devote to both my blogs as I should have. I still will post those messages as well, it will just be on this blog. Some of those messages we may not agree on, but I hope and pray we can keep our friendship and ties the same even if we agree to disagree.
I thank those that wrote to ask me what was going on, you have no idea how much that concern means to me. Again I am sorry to ALL who come to my blog to read what I post. I feel I was starting to stray form the "true" message, from the ONLY message that will change the world, The Holy Word of God. Coming to these decisions, I finally feel I have peace about being able to post again. Ole Rev is finally back in the game!! LOL.
