Have you ever wondered how in the world you can help someone? Have you watched someone go through the toughest of times, the storm of their life, and even though you have been there before with your own storm, you find yourself searching for words to say? I admit, I have been there quite often lately.
I love to be a help to people, most of you know that, but what you may not know is how much it drives me crazy when I find myself wondering have I really encouraged or help relieve them of some of what they are battling. It sad, but sometimes I just have to accept that there are no easy answers to some of life's struggles. I have been through an extra-ordinary amount of storms in my life. Some of you I have shared some with, and to those that are still wondering, just PM me and I'll be glad to tell you my story. So you would think I would absolutely know that there are no easy answers sometimes. And then my one of my previous posts came to mind today, the one about just staying. Sometimes all one needs, is to know that someone will be there, should they need it. To give them a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent in, someone to pray everyday for the struggles they face.
Are you willing to be that for someone? You know the Bible says we shall reap what we sow. What type of seed are you sowing? Are you trying to be a help to someone when they need it? Or are you focused on how good you have it right now, and you don't want to get involved because it might just bring you down? WE WILL REAP!! If you reach out to someone, someday someone will reach out to you. If you don't, neither will they, it's really that simple.
To all my friends, here on the Stream and here at home, I will always be here if you need me. My ear is always open to what-ever you may be dealing with. To those I have been talking with, my heart goes out to you. I am praying for you, and have a shoulder anytime you need to lean on it. I'm sorry I don't have all the answers, but I'll always be willing to take your hand and we can try and find them together!!
Here is my song for Saturday night, I hope you find encouragement and peace in it as it comes from my heart........ Dionne Warwick and Friends, "Thats what friends are for"
"DIONNE:
And I never thought Iīd feel this way And as far as Iīm concerned Iīm glad I got the chance to say That I do believe I love you And if I should ever go away Well then close your eyes and try To feel the way we do today and then if you can remember
Keep smilinī, keep shininī Knowing you can always count on me for sure Thatīs what friends are for For good times and bad times Iīll be on your side forever more Thatīs what friends are for
STEVIE:
Well you came and opened me And now there?s so much more I see And so by the way I thank you
ELTON:
Woah, and then for the times when weīre apart Well then close your eyes and know These words are coming from my heart And then if you can remember, oh
STEVIE:
Keep smilinī, keep shininī Knowing you can always count on me for sure Thatīs what friends are for In good times and bad times Iīll be on your side forever more Oh, thatīs what friends are for
GLADYS:
Oh, keep smilinī keep shininī Knowing you can always count on me for sure Thatīs what friends are for For good times and bad times Iīll be on your side forever more Thatīs what friends are for
ELTON:
Keep smilinī, keep shininī Knowing you can always count on me, oh for sure īCause Iīll tell ya
ALL:
Thatīs what friends are for
ELTON:
For good times and for bad times

DIONNE:
Iīll need for sure
STEVIE:

ELTON:
I will need for sure
DIONNE:
Thatīs what friends are for Keep smilinī, keep shininī"
SONG REMOVED FOR NEXT POST, IT WAS "THATS WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR BY DIONNE WARRICK
Here is the second round of those letters someone sent me in an e-mail. Again I hope you enjoy them. My two favorites are Donna's and Larry's. Let me know which are yours!!
Kids can be so wonderful!! I love coming home after a hard day at work and listening to my children interact with the world. Even on those days when you are at your wits end, they can say something, do something, smile at you in that certain kind of way that will just melt your heart and send you into a fit of laughter!! I love my children for that!!
Here is an e-mail someone sent me last night that I just have to share with you all, I hope you enjoy!! Please read them and let me know which was your favorite. I have no idea how old these children were that wrote these, but judging by handwriting, I'd say not very old. (Glad you guys can't see my handwriting then, lol!!!)
Ok, I'll stop it right here for now, I'll post the rest tomorrow for sake of time. Aren't they cute?? I thought so, I hope you enjoyed them and that it maybe lightened your heart a little.
As I watch this world around me, I become very disturbed at what I see. No one can deny the extent of evil and wrong doing that happens everyday. We've all been through storms in our lives, times when we were all alone, even if we were in a crowded room. Thats what purposed me to start this blog. I have been through an amazing amount of storms in my life. There is not much I don't understand. I feel God has blessed me on here and that I have been an encouragement to quite a few people I have met. But my heart still breaks for what I see and hear everyday. You see the only way this world will really change is if we Christians get up and get on fire for the Lord.
I often wonder why it is SO EASY for us to "forget" to share the love of Jesus. What He has done for everyone in this world. I watch the news and hear about these conflicts all over the world, like in Iraq. I don't believe we are ever going to win by force, these people are use to that, it is actually in the bible. They need to hear about the true God, to see God's love abounding in us. THATS WHAT WILL BRING CHANGE. You see, Jesus will draw them in Hiself, but He wants us to outwardly show this world His love. I think we tend to hide it for what-ever reason, whether it be fear of rejection, sneers, what will they think, will they still be my friend......... I think most of it is fear. What must it take to get past this?
Is it better to live in fear and just mind your own buisness? Or is it better to know you are doing what God wants for you to do? I work a lot with the teens in our church and I have heard some say they are scared to surrender to what God wants for them because He might send them to a different country. How sad it is to me to hear this... We have it soo good in this country, yet there is hardly anyone out "door knocking" trying to spread the Good News. I have been reading Fox's Book of Martyrs lately, and the stories in there will grab hold of you and make you test your own faith. Some of the stories that come to mind, people were hung by meat hooks by their bellies till they died for believing in Jesus, beaten and raped before being burned alive, put in leather bags with snakes and scorpions and thrown in the ocean. This really changed the way I thought of things. Would I have enough faith to stand through that?? Would you??
As I close, please know, God just wants to use you. There are billions out there who have no clue who Jesus is. Don't they deserve the same chance of going to Heaven as you and I? Jesus is the only one that can make a big enough change in this world for our children. Isn't it worth being willing to go where He asks just for that? He may just want you to go next door........ please watch this video and listen to the words. They need Jesus, just as bad as you did when you were saved. Don't block that off, Don't hide what God has done for you, let it show, God promises it will be worth it in the end.
Please, Please, Please PM me if you are unsure if you know Jesus, if you don't know 100% sure that if you died you'd go to Heaven. I'll give you nothing but Bible to show you how to know for sure and I will pray for you, listen to your heart, is God knocking right now?? Won't you answer His call??
The song I've chosen for today's post is on a very heated topic. It's one that a friend of mine has been posting on here lately and I just haven't been able to get it off my mind. Most of you already know POH, and her link is to the right in my favorite blogs titled, "a common housewife in the fast lane." The topic is on abortion, and I challenge you to check it out if you haven't already, she has done extensive research on it and is quite knowledgable.
Anyway, I was cruising around the web thinking of what to post and I came across this song. I am not really crazy about rap music, but when I saw the lyrics and looked into his story, I knew I had to post this. You see, I've met quite a few people who told me their parent(s) thought of aborting them. Funny thing is though, I have never heard a one of them say they wish they had........ If this post makes you angry, I am sorry, it's just the way I feel. Please know I pass no judgement, it's not my place to nor would I want to. As I said, it's just the way I feel.......
Here are the lyrics for those that may have a hard time keeping up like I do with this type of music.
NICK CANNON'S "CAN I LIVE"
"[Talking]
Talking Ma
I know the Situation is Personal
But it something that has to be told
As I was making this beat
You was all I could think about you heard my voice
[Verse 1]
Yeah Just think Just Think
What if you could Just
Just blink your self away..
Just Just wait just pause for a second
Let me plead my case
It's the late 70's Huh
You Seventeen huh
And having me that will ruin everything huh
It's alot of angels waiting on their wings
You see me in your sleep so you cant kill your dreams
300 Dollars thats the price of living what?
Mommy I dont like this clinic
Hopefully you'll make the right decision
And dont go through with the Knife incision
But it's hard to make the right move
When you in high school
How you have to work all day and take night school
Hopping off da bus when the rain is pouring
What you want morning sickness or the sickness of mourning
[Chorus]
I'll Always Be a part of you
Trust Your Soul Know it's always true
If I Could Talk I'd Say To You
CAN I LIVE
CAN I LIVE
I'll Always Be a part of you
Trust Your Soul Know it's always true
If I Could Talk I'd Say To You
CAN I LIVE
CAN I LIVE
[Verse 2]
I am a child of the king
Ain't no need to go fear me
And I see the flowing tears so know that you hear me
When I move in your womb that's me being scary
Cause who knows what my future holds
Yo the truth be told you ain't told a soul
Yo you ain't even showing I'm just 2 months old
Through your clothes try to hide me deny me
Went up 3 sizes
Your pride got you lying saying ain't nothing but a migraine
It ain't surprising you not trying to be in Wic food lines
Your friends will look at you funny but look at you mommy
That's a life inside you look at your tummy
What is becoming ma I am Oprah bound
You can tell he's a star from the Ultrasound
Our Sprits Connected Doors Open Now
Nothing But Love And Respect Thanks For Holding Me Down She Let Me Live...
[Chorus]
I'll Always Be a part of you
Trust Your Soul Know it's always true
If I Could Talk I'd Say To You
CAN I LIVE
CAN I LIVE
I'll Always Be apart of you
Trust Your Soul Know it's always true
If I Could Talk I'd Say To You
CAN I LIVE
CAN I LIVE [Repeat 2]
[Nick Talking]
It's uplifting foreal yall
I ain't passing no judgement
Ain't making no decisions
I am just telling ya'll my story
I love life
I love my mother for giving me life
We all need to appreciate life
A strong woman that had to make a sacrifice
